THERAPEUTICAL SUGGESTIONS
Only doctors, nurses, health workers in general can suggest the patient what is good for his psychophysical well-being. It is beyond the volunteer to do it. All the more so, a volunteer cannot make any nursing service, as it could be regarded as unauthorized practice of this profession and it might even have penal consequences.

FALSE PROMISES
Faith is an essential ingredient in the relation between volunteer and patient, a faith that must always be gained and nourished thanks to a proper and sincere behaviour. A volunteer cannot “risk” this faith by giving deceptive assurances to the patient.

PERSONAL PRESENTS
More or less valuable goods are often given to volunteers by patients to show their gratefulness.
The idea of gratuitousness that marks a volunteer’s activity compels him/her not to accept any personal present.
