HYGIENE AND SIMPLICITY
A volunteer approaches people of very different background and culture, sometimes he/she is confronted with very difficult situations from a socio-economic point of view. He/she never proposes himself/herself in such a way as to make himself/herself, or anybody else he gets in touch with, feel uneasy. Therefore he/she must dress simply, he/she must not wear expensive jewellery, in a word, he/she must not show off.
Needless to say, utmost hygiene as well as clothes and personal cleanliness are highly recommended.

KEEPING CONTACT WITH THE COORDINATOR
Each volunteer, never to “feel himself/herself alone”, has an immediate and direct contact with a coordinator. This is an essential role, an interface between the volunteers of one group and the coordinator of the Voluntary Sector, which is held, in rotation, by a volunteer chosen by the inside of the group . At the end of the term, the coordinator or group leader leaves his/her place to another volunteer who is usually his/her substitute and has helped him/her during his/her term.
